Stayed @ Fort Monroe last year - great place. Did not find it crowded nor hard to get into. Large open sites with some shade and some have a nice view of the water. Close to the beach & pool complex which you have to pay to use. Bath house & laudry room were nice. MWR renatl shop right there with canoes grills, etc. I would recommend as a base camp to see the area. Base Exchange small but adequaate; grocery store real close by. base is very quiet and well kept.

little Creek does have full hook-ups. Dh stays there right now, leaving in a few days. Ft. Story is not one of my favorite picks, no sewer hook-up.

Check out the campground at Ft. Story. It is situated right at the point of the Atlantic ocean and the Chesapeake Bay. Nice campground with log cabins if you have guests.

We are at Little Creek now, The sites are close together and not very big rig frendly but real comfortable when you get in there. The place is full right now and has full hookup at all of the sites. There are only three 50 amp. sites and the rest are 30 amp. All have concrete pads and the roads are paved. The host here are very helpful and real nice. The showers and bathrooms are clean and nice, and so is the laundry. This is a great campground and it is well worth the trip. The commisary and bx here are really nice. The commisary is one of the largest we have ever seen in all of our base stops. I will try and get a picture of Oceana for you Larry if you tell me what you want.

A couple photos showing the campground and sites would be greatly appreciated by all looking to visit there. Other photos of the campground are also welcomed.
