Onslow beach

I had to respond to a young civilian friend that visited us at Onslow that was aghast at the separate beaches. I pointed out to her to look at it from the view point of a young EM: he/she welcomes being able to have age appropriate fun without stodgy officers/SNCO's "watching" them.

we finally arrived here yesterday. boy did they ever mess up the reservations, plus found out campers switched sites during the day and caused more problems. manager and office staff had no idea what was vacant or occupied. had to switch sites couldot get the RV level at all. ended up on site 8 then they moved me to 9. still nice place. campgound is full. nasty storms was in here tonight, 70 mph winds. hopefully better weather this week. it was over 100 when we were setting up. the camp host on site 4 was more helpful then anyone in the office. now to sit back and enjoy.....

Always thought Onslow was an odd set-up and odd place to camp - went a few times, then never went back. Probably never will.
