We rented a box at our local Pack&Ship and have our mail temp forwarded to the box. We know the guy that owns it. We call him when we're ready for a delivery and he sends it to us by whatever means we want. Sometimes we overnight it other times we just do general delivery to the park we are staying at. When we get home we can stop the forwarding or let it continue if we want to go out again. It works out because he pulls out all the junk mail. So far it has worked flawlessly.

Had a neighbor who used one of them mail services that people find in mall and such and when he tried to close his box and get his mail going back to his home he had one heck of a time. They did not want to close it and they did not want to forwared his mail back to his home and he had one heck of a time. And its one of the big name mailing stores that has mailboxes and sell boxes for packing and they do fedex and ups and so on.

I can't see the problem. The U.S. Post Office forwards mail to a box and when you get home all you have to do is tell your post office to stop forwarding. That's all we did. The box closes out at the end of the contract period. The only thing the Pack&Ship store did was send our mail to us on the road when we called for it. They don't control how your mail is forwarded from or back to your home.
