discounts for Military (including retirees)

We were at Tinker AFB in Oklahoma City a few weeks ago. We went to Toby Kieth restaurant and found that Veterans get a free meal. Thanks Toby for the burger & fries.

I have found that most RV parks that give Good Sam discount also give Military a 10% discount. Last year at South Padre Island TX the KOA gave their usual 10% but when I asked about Military they gave an additional 5%. When I asked what if I didn't have the KOA card, they said I would still get 15% discount.

Also, AUTO Zone gives 10% military discount.

Not all KOA's give the military discount. If you go to their website ( www.koa.com ) and click on the "Hot Deals" tab and select a CG, it will list all the discount deals for that particular CG. The ones that have a military discount will show up there. Some of them limit the discount to active duty or active Guard or Reserve. (If you call them and ask about the military discount being available to retired military, some of them will give it to you!)
