Anybody up for a road trip?

Hi! Looking forward to everyone's visit (I think) ;) .

These are USFS campgrounds where I'm at and they are not made for big rigs. Where I'm located, at Jackson Meadow Recreation Area, the only place that can take large rigs is the "Pass Creek Campground Overflow". Turns in the campground loop might still be tight. This "overflow" campground is first-come only (no reservations). I stay here in my 40' MH for a couple weeks at the beginning of the season.

About 20 miles away from Jackson Meadows (on Hwy-89) is Upper Little Truckee USFS campground that can take about 6 large rigs with no problems. Reservations can be made for this campground, but not for specific sites. However, if this is where you want to stay, let me me know how many and when and I'll try to "hold" these larger sites. They are all next to each other.

It's a nice paved road all the way to Jackson Meadows.

Although it would be fun to have you in the immediate area, staying at a commercial CG due to your large rig sizes might be a good option. I'm not familiar with the commercial parks near Truckee. There's more USFS campgrounds near Truckee, but I don't manage them and can't say if they will take big rigs. Donner State Park is also in the area, but I've never been there.

We have a dump at Jackson Meadows, but the turn is tight. (I can't make it without backing up). I don't know where other local dumps are.

Thanks for the info Larry! Let me run this past the group and I'll get back to you.

Now THERE'S an idea Monkey! We can throw a cloth over the top of your rig and use it as a picnic table!!!

Might work, but you're a little short to sit on the bumper and reach the 'table top' ... although it does have a ladder
