Fourth Cliff has the absolutely worst trained staff in the nation. We stopped in and wanted to do overnight. Staff said, "We can't make reservations on the weekend" - We don't want a reservation, we want one of the open sites, now - we're standing at the desk. She say, "I don't know how to give a reservation" WE don't need a reservation, we're here now.
She says, You can't have a site without a reservatation. Besides, we're full. WE looked outside again. Eleven sites here, six sites with rigs, five sites open.
She says - I don't know how to do this, so we're full - that's what we say on the weekends.
Now, muy stupid self says to me, Why did you go back here - because this is the third time it's happened here on the weekend ... once before, the staff said, again with half sites open - We're told to tell everyone we're full if anyone wants to come on the weekend - Why - because we don't know how to do reservations. Only the manager does and he never here on the weekends.
Last time, I sent ICE, mgr called me and "sorry and said he would fix it". Last year, and it's still not fixed. Terrible staff here, and make sure you bring your own restroom and shower, because this shower I wouldn't wash my dog in it. This time, will write to Hanscom Command - this manager is not what we expect in a MCG.
First of all THEY are trained...I have run into this across the US, in fact so much in so many places and the words sound like they are coming from the same sheet of music. If you stay there you generate WORK for the staff, simple as that. Paperwork, yard work you name it. They draw the SAME paycheck if its 100% full 100% of the time or 0%/0%.
I have showed up and heard we don't res, but I am here just want to check in, sorry charlie we only take res....same o, same o story. I have driven thru and seen the place almost empty, and looking at it you can tell it sees little use at all...its planned that way.
