Anybody out there have any good leads on a good money saving Gas Cards? As much fuel as we put in these Rigs it would be nice to get a nice 5% gas return. Thoughts?

Mike the best card I've found is the Pentagon Federal Credit Union. Visa Platinum Gas Rewards Card. It pays 5% on all gas purchases paid at the pump. There is no dollar limit and the "Rewards" money shows up on your next statement. I've had some cards in the past that had limits on how much you could receive. This one doesn't and most of us using this website probably qualify for membership. I think it pays 1% on all other purchases.

We use a Citi card for the rewards points. So far have gotten all kinds of electonic stuff and the points accumulate fast when traveling. I used to run 150 miles day rt to go to work. fueled every other day and was getting nothing in return using a gas card. Went to using the regular credit card and started the returns. We have an amex from costco that has cash back, but we only use for that company purchases.

Either way, you want a cash back or rewards it will depend on your wants needs. None of my cards have an annual fee, so that is something you will need to check for a cash back and then what is the % rate on one? Mine are low and we pay off every month, no need to carry lotsa $ any more.

Actually you have to have "a qualifying product" with them to get the 5% back on gas now:

"You can earn 5.00% on gas purchases paid at the pump and avoid an annual fee by obtaining a qualifying PenFed product:

Active checking account with direct deposit ($250 min.)
Money Market Certificate or IRA Certificate
Mortgage
Installment loan
Equity Loan or Equity Line of Credit
Thrifty Credit Service
Personal Line of Credit
Money Market Savings Accounts "

Since we do all our banking through USAA, we opened a CD with PenFed in able to keep the 5% coming. With the RV and 2 cars we get $300+ back each year.

I think they started that requirement within the last year. To meet the requirement, I put $5 in a money market account. Since then I've gotten a CD with them because they were 1/2 percent higher than anyone else I could find.

I got a Maverik Black card which is an ATM that pays directly from my bank account for the Manerik stations, and it saves 6cents a gallon on diesel. I also got a Pilot/Flying J credit card and as a Good Sam Life member, it saves 9 cents a gallon on diesel. The problem with Pilot/Flying J is that they are often more than 9 Cents higher than many other stations.
