 Do you or have you ever got questioned as to whether or not you have small arms as you enter into Andrews AFB with your RV? I have been to several bases and have NEVER been asked.

Just out of curiosity, if you've never been asked, why do you think Andrews will be different? Almost all bases have a general "no guns" rule. They will just tell you to check it at an armory. I've never been asked either but if I was carrying, I most likely wouldn't answer yes. I'm sure someone will come along with a horror story about being interrogated.

We just returned from a trip to Key West and were asked about personal weapons at both Patrick AFB, Naval Base Mayport and Dam Neck, Va..

It may have changed, but a few years ago, Andrews performed inspections on RV's. Opened all doors and they look inside. They asked about weapons and we had 30 minutes to get our firearms to the base armory (they call ahead on the radio).
At White Sands, NM, they checked the serial numbers of all firearms and called them in on the radio. After all was cleared, I was allowed to keep them in the RV with me.
If you visit enough military campgrounds, you'll have every experience from not asking, to having them temporarily confiscated. No big deal - just be prepared for it all.

I have never been asked at any other base but the comments on the Andrews site being at Presidential base and al, I thought they might be stricter.
