Even though I have a CCL, I've given up on carrying in the RV, period because we never know when we'll end up on a Post/Base. I've only been asked twice: eons ago at Ft Monroe and last year at Sigsbee. Not going to lie to a LEO and just not worth the hassle. Just MHO.

I carry and stay away from military campgrounds because of this reason. I have stayed at a few and find them no better than off base campgrounds. I guess I don't know what the attraction is any more.

Just my opinion is that for one we have found that cost is a lot less. Rarely do we run into negative situations either people or campgrounds at military campgrounds and we did at civilian campgrounds. We both enjoy the military lifestyle and staying on base gives us a little piece of that. Like I said at the beginning just my opinion, you said you didn't know what the attraction was and I thought I would give you a few of mine.
