Just curious -- as I have on occasion stopped in sites with just my truck when my Camper was getting repaired and never had anyone say a thing -- just paid and set up for overnight. So am wondering what happened that makes you say "no access" ... M44
Key West has a boat load of tent spaces both at trumbow and at Sigsbee.. Both places have shower and latrine facilities close. Im sure nobody would say a word if you wanted to set up your shower..(except to tell you save water shower with a buddy)
Nellis AFB and Fairchild AFB both were allowing tent camping while we were there. Not sure where you're talking about. At any rate, your camping style sounds more suited to national parks, state parks, national forests, etc. where tents are the norm, rates are cheaper, scenery far superior and noise levels usually much more conducive to a good nights' sleep.
