Famcamp Groundbreaking Luke AFB Glendale AZ

Was on Luke today 10/17/18 and they have all the big rocks up against the back fence. They haven't done much else.
Really looking forward to this famcamp opening.

Was at Luke a couple of weeks ago. Nothing appears to be happening with the FamCamp. Anybody heard anything new? Maybe a email to FSS might shed some light on what is going on.

A recent call to MWR resulted in the response: "The new FamCamp hasn't been funded or designed." They still hope to have it completed in 2019. Hmm.. we're told it's funded and designed, now they tell us something different. I'm doubtful it will be completed in 2019.

An update was posted a month ago (December 2018). This is the most recent status that I have:

There is no major update for the "groundbreaking." Contract has yet to be awarded. Wouldn't expect anything remotely resembling progress, let alone opening until earliest 2020 personally. We are stationed at Luke and drive by the Lot every day, will be here for next 2 yrs. If I see something will post something.
