Famcamp Groundbreaking Luke AFB Glendale AZ

Any information on their reservation policy?

Went by today and walked a site. Appears the pads are very narrow, about the width of a motor home, very small pad with BBQ and table situated about where a gas motor home or trailer door would open, and the only place to put a mat or chairs will be on the rocks unless you can put them in front of the RV. The utilities are located at about midway of the pad.

This is a email from Luke AFB requesting some early arrivals if possible on Aug 31st.

We are still scheduled to open the FamCamp on 1 Sept @ 0856hrs. Hopefully we will have phones and computers up and running by then. If not, we will be doing it old school and doing reservations and check-in’s manually. If we could get a few to check in on 31 Aug the day before we have the ceremony that would be great.

Our phones are currently not working at ODR but we have called Comm about the situation.

I am not worried about filling the FamCAmp once we are open as we are getting 30+ calls a day.

Maybe move the picnic table to the rocky area so you have a bit more room.

I wish I could be there for the grand opening.
