Hi there, in regards to "they may extend you on a case to case basis." Was there a waver or extension form that folks filled out. Thank you in advance for any info you may have. We are in a similar position where we know of 1 person at our site that received a waiver for 180 days. Everyone has been asked to leave (this place is almost empty) without even knowing anything about this waiver. The camp director walked to each RV and notified each one of them when they had to leave. We must be invisible for he has never said 1 word to us. I do not want to be thrown out in this very bad situation. So waiver for extension information is needed. Again thank you and stay safe. Respectfully, Cee Cee

I'm sure the process varies at each location. Perhaps check with the person who was granted a waiver on how they did it.

Thanks Larry. I'm hoping that these facilities will reopen soon. With respect to the social distancing goal, I'm not sure how closing military campgrounds is helpful. Not many business models can so easily accommodate the distancing rules. Reserve by phone or online, pay the same way, pickup your paperwork on the way in, and use safe distancing during your stay. Closures seem like an over reaction to me.

Not singling this poster I'm quoting out, folks, but.

The health and well being of the active duty forces must come first. Removing transient vectors for the Covid virus is their main priority. Your ability to spend leisure time on a base is not mission critical. As you're using the facilities as a military retiree, you surely must understand that?

MWR Morale, Welfare and Recreation 1. Clear move-out procedures and responsibilities, with time and notice to prepare, inspections, paperwork, and other considerations.
2. Reasonable advanced notice if terminating or extending stay in writing with clear reason and without preference.
3. Predictable monetary terms through a clearly defined written agreement.

Yesterday I was told by POC and I quote the first and only thing POC said, " You have until Sunday or I will have you escorted out." HHMMM rude yes but he is not my issue. POC charged my credit card on April 13th for another 14-day stay. In hindsight, I should have asked POC if that was his way of letting the last 2 clients know the termination date, April 26th and if yes, asked for the "Extension" in written form.
I believe with 1, 2 and 3 listed above, all ambiguities, insecurities, and safety would be lessened. That would Increase the Readiness of our Military instead of lowering Morale & Welfare, especially in this dire moment when we all are trying to remain alive.

I am the camp host at Fiddler's Cove RV Park (Coronado, CA). We went on lockdown on Friday, March 20, 2020. Retirees who were in the park, at that time, were permitted to complete their prepaid reservations, but they could not renew. Active duty patrons, who were in the park at that time, were permitted to remain in the park until at least June 1, 2020. No new active duty patrons have been admitted into the park since that time. All reservations up through May 31, 2020 were cancelled. Reservations for stays beginning on June 1, 2020, are currently still "on the books", but there is no guarantee that we will reopen on June 1, 2020.
