The sad part about all this if we don't use it we will lose it. So I guess we have a choice; pay the price or go elsewhere. It seems that no one is listening to the complaints.

As a Navy retiree, I do not think Homesteading should be allowed during Vacation Season Memorial Day - Labor Day. I recently visted Cheatham Annex and only observed one Home Steader, which was not a problem. However I did visit Langly AFB FAMPARK during my stay at Cheatham and found that the ENTIRE Park was Homesteaders, one Homesteader went as far as to have planted their own garden around their RV. Langey look like a run down trailer park. I can understand that meny for these camps is an issue but I am not convince it is an issue during the Summer months!

It's hard to put it all in one basket. I.E., Fam Camps in the south. It's hard as H@lll to get a spot from Dec. thru April, when you're below the Mason.Dixon line (for certain campgrounds). Other places(farther north)let people have extended stays during the summer. It all comes down to #1: money, #2: favoritism. I hate the fact that you have to call McDill AFB EXACTLY 2 weeks (to the minute) before you can get a 2 week spot, in the winter months. Forget about staying longer, the homesteaders have that all sewn up! Now as far as the summer goes, I'm home, so I can't comment on that. It certainly has become a problem in some places.
