Perhaps we crossed wires. I've been talking about my automated INTERNET and TV Satellite setup. Read my previous posts for more info. The single dish does BOTH - no "air card" used.

LARRY QUOTE: "Remember, we're also trying to SEND signals from a little 1.5 watt transmitter to a specific satellite thousands of miles in the sky."
I that when you order some extra programs -- like PPV and things, then you send info, or is this an internet signal??
Does the satellite do internet too, or is that something separate?? From your post below, it sounds like you have everything satellite -- web and TV. So, no phone/card type internet requred ...

Okay - yes, I re-read what you wrote -- I see you have everything on one dish ...
But to get back to my original thought, three feet wide a dish is too large for me -- I'm in a small RV / A truck camper with my 4x4 ... so I'd never fit that inside when travelling -- and can't do a roof-mount either, I'd guess. And that's why the TV-cube was attractive to me -- I'm hitting the road pretty much full-time in a week or so, and am investigating the TV and web issues with a little more intensity now. Not in a huge hurry, but eventually want the convenience of "In-My-RV" with both. For now, I can take what TV I get in the MCG and use WIFI when it's available.
Eventually, I'll go to a larger unit, but for now I still like the NP and back-country type camping some of the time, so will stick with my 4x4 and TC for a while.
