That's enough reason right there to use DirectTV -- along with Larry's shameless plug !!

An added benefit of traveling with friends with multiple receiver systems is that you can always borrow one. You can also pool your resources. We have two receivers with our Dish system and our travel friends have three with their Direct system. The first time we did this we were in the KOA at Jonestown, PA. All sites are under thick tree cover and we had to go 200' from our 5ers to find a signal. Between us we carry about 500' of coax cable. My friend has his 3rd receiver in his basement and hardly ever uses it so we used his dish to get the signal and run a cable to each 5er. I stacked his basement receiver on top of mine, changed the cables over and we both had Direct TV. Since then we have done this a number of times.

The wife and I had Dish for many years and then one time they had some channel problems that pissed me off. We switched to Direct and found we got better channeling as well as we payed less. We went full time RVing 2 years ago and Direct has been very rv friendly and I hear tell many times over if you call dish and mention rving they hang up on you. We also have the coast to coast with the major networks ABC, NBC, CBS, and Fox from New York and Los Angeles. As well as our home stations.

DIRECT TV. I have a friend who I travel with occassionally. I'm inside watching the game and drinking a cold one while he's still outside setting up.
No one mentioned that he should get a dual or triple LNB dish if he wants to watch seperate channels on seperate tvs. The cable should be RG6 for less signal loss. Same size as regular coax.
Is there some difference between WVA and India?
I'm technically literate, but I guess I'm in the dark on the east/west waiver thing. What's the scoop on that?

If you have an RV and want to receive the east and west coast networks you can submit a wavier request (found on their web site's) that basically shows proof of registration of the RV, and then they will send you the east/west feeds of ABC, NBC,CBS, & FOX. This service used to be $9.00 a month and is now $11.00.
Dish had problems for a while and had to discontinue the service, however it is again available, don't know what their fee is.
The east/west coast feeds are available where ever you are and you have the ability to watch the east coast networks while on west coast three hours earlier, or you can watch the west coast stations, three hours later if you are on the east coast. It comes in handy if you miss a show, as you can get either one.
Hope this makes sense to you,
Frank
