Campgound Price
The only thing I can say it - I'm a writer/journalist buy business the last twenty years, and will research the laws and prices and 'who's allowed' if anyone wants to join me with a letter to Congress pointing out where this is a slap in the face to AD and Retired.
Don't want to turn this site into a 'political activist' posting agenda, but if Larry wants to use this site as a temporary tool to inform the site visitors about MCG abuse, and also to collect names for a letter to our Congress (and the IG), I'll lead that charge ... and they'll get a letter that will get their attention ... they may still do nothing, but if we do nothing about the abuse, then shame on us and we get what we deserve.
This is not about a specific campground, it is about abuse of our budget (BHA and DOD) spending our tax money on MCG instead of what it is paid to them for, and sticking the rest in their wallet, and about full MCG when we arrive. And about the money we taxpayers send to DC that comes back tothe BHA and DOD as dollars that is not spent for what it's collected for ... so we need to stop this before we lose another one. Look again at the BX and Fuel prices - our health benefits, next is the commissary privatized.
If we take the BHA and DOD per diem that is abused, we can certainly apply that to the pharmacy benefit and use it for lift saving puposes instead of what I believe is a criminal act (abuse of funds) ... or at the very least, against funding policy.
I was actually waiting for a letter, explaining the reasons why (all BS of course) this MCg is so high, but when we got form letters back, it implies that they already knew they'd get some beefs, and give us so little respect, that it pushed the Monkey button even more than that price increase did ...
It will take more than me, and it will take Larry allowing us to collect names and in addition, posting the information in an easily accessible spot because not all site members come to the forum, matter of fact, probably a small percentage.
We know we'll keep off that grass, but it we do nothing else, it will continue to happen at other MCgs and we'll eventually lose most of this benefit too.
Okay, Monkey's gonna go take a cold shower

Army and USAF Regulations are in the FILES section of the website. I had the Navy regs, but the file was corrupt. I'm having a hard time finding it again (any help?).floridakamper wrote: The 14 day limit is this campgrounds "policy." I suspect they will let folks stay longer if they have no space available. At their prices, if they get a paying customer they shouldn't let them leave. I've seen reference on this forum about regulations that prohibit homesteading. I don't think those regs are posted on this forum (I may be wrong). If they are not posted here, I think it would be a good idea for those in the know about these regs to send them to Larry and have them available for reference instead of just saying such and such campground is breaking the rules.
