We will be heading to the Okeechobee State Samboree in a couple of weeks then down to Key West as we should be able to get a hookup site end of April. Short local trips in the summer in Fl. and Ga. and then in the fall doing a 16 day caraventure to N.E. (off our bucket list finally). Stops in Pa. and N.C. then back to Fl. in Nov. No definite plans after that maybe Tx. and Ok. Next year hope to do a trip by rail in the U.S. any suggestions would be appreciated.

While you are in Okeechobee, take a drive 5 miles to the NW - up 98 - to Kissimmee Prairie Preseve State Park. A place like no other in Florida. 54,000 acres of wild. If you go stop by the office and tell them Jon and Judy sent you.

Hello!!!
We are fairly new to the site in Central Georgia. We now have our Endeavor and getting ready to go. Hope to be on the road in May. Still have her car, my bike and a house for sale. Yep, the house is full of stuff. Did not know how much stuffyou could accumulate in 20 years. Finding things I did not remember we had. A little to a storage room and the rest for sale.
Headed to New Orleans last of July for the VHPA convention, and then on to St Louis the 1st of October for my unit reunion. After that on to Ft Wayne to see my grands for a couple weeks then South to see the leaves change then probably on to the coast. Do not know the points in between yet or for how long. Simple really we seek, good food, good fishing(her), and good company in beautiful places.
Watching the forums and will be staying in military campgrounds when possible.
Full timed for about a year, but that was 20 years ago and had a house to go check on every couple of months. Wow has things changed!!! Now that my wife has retired she told me there was nothing holding us here. Her grand kids are older and no longer have time for Maw Maw. We are happy and busy trying to head out as soon as we can.
Wishing everyone safe and happy journeys!!!! Clarence & Judy

Its looking like the wife and I will be in Destin for a week in May (Our favorite spot). Then on June 30th we will be in Toronto, Canada (Never been there) Allready booked a spot at a KOA Campground about an hour out of Toronto. Our son is getting married, so . ...the whole family, including four grandsons will be camping outside of Toronto. Looking forward to the wedding.
Then in October, taking the grandkids to Disney World, will probably spend a week there and then maybe a stop for a few days at Mayport. Kids like the reville and ships at Mayport. Fun, Fun, Fun! :woohoo:

The only thing wrong with being retired is that you never get a day off!

Idabel,
If you are retired military ( with ID card ) Disney has great discount tix. Check their website or with their ticket office when you arrive. We went last year and their discount was " An offer we couldn't refuse". Hope you have a great time.
