I've always put my stickers on. Since the base near where I live quit issuing stickers, when mine expires, I get them where ever I am at the time. I've been issued at Fort Benning and last time at Pensacola. They expire next month and I'll get new ones at Mayport because that is where I'll be.

Cherry Point MCAS usually requires that they put them on but last time I got lucky and they gave me all 3 sets. They say the reason is some of the younger folks were getting a set, mounting them on a flexible surface and then moving them around to different vehicles that might not have been otherwise legal on base.

I arrived at Uchee Creek today. Fort Benning still requires windshield decals.

I need to correct some incorrect information I put on here last post. I talked to a gate guard today and he said they do not look at windshield decals and Fort Benning no longer issues them. Sorry for the confusion. I should have asked someone that knew the answer in the first place.

We were at Jacksonville FL NAS last week. Our window sticker had expired 12/2012. Only installations near me are Army/Air Force and neither are issuing stickers any longer. When I arrived at Jacksonville NAS, my ID card was checked by gate security and I was flagged thru. I went to base ID to get a new sticker. They told me that only active and permanent party need stickers now. Retirees only need to show an ID card.

I'm at Kings Bay right now and they still require decals. My decal expires at the end of March and I was reminded of that when I arrived. I went to Pass and ID and 5 minutes later I had my decals. I put them on myself at the campsite. They don't expire until March 2019. Don't have to worry about that for awhile.
