Retired US Army (1991) after 26 years. Worked for state government in WA and AZ, now quitting from WA and really "retiring". Actually closer to going part time, still doing some consulting work to keep me in golf and beer money. Also DAV (75%). The DAV part means I get free camping in WA and OR state parks and reduced in federal areas. So about 90% of my camping is there. I also use the MCG a lot, if they are available where I am going. Stay in a commercial maybe 2 times a year.
Had a 5er and was going to full time when I retired, but after a one year contracting AZ, that turned into a full time job for 3 years, we purchased a home there. With houses in WA and AZ, the 5er wasn't getting used much, so sold it.
Got back into RVs due to the grandkids wanting to go out camping and fishing. We went back with a small hybrid TT, but that was too small, so we know have a 23' TT, with slide out bed (27' when parked), it is working great for us, sleeps 10, so we can bring the crowd, although we're smart enough not to do that
So we are using the TT for get aways and weekends now, traveling between AZ, and as a pull along hotel room for our travels in WA and AZ. Think I'll give this one about 5 years, then upgrade to one with a walk around queen and bunks for the grandkids. But for now this one is great for our use and the TV I have.

Hi All, New to this site, I am retired Air Force Fire Protection, 1988, will be retiring again in April, still in Fire Protection, 40+ years all together. Wife and I are planning a 6 month trip in May to celebrate our retirement and 30 great years of marriage.
