PETS

I agree pet owners should pick up after their pets, like smokers shouldn't leave their butts on the ground If everyone treated their pets like they SHOULD treat their kids, then things would be better. I travel with my bird, Mickey, and I make sure she does not annoy anyone with her talking & squaking while preventing her from bitting people. Pet ownership is as serious as having children and I wish people would realise they reap what they sow!

As one of the owners of our so called resort I have called people when I saw their dog poop and they did not pick up. I tell them they will pick up or they can leave and no refunds. I had one guy tell me he forgot his bags....sure...I told him I would stand watch over the poop until he walked back to his trailer and got some. He informed me that it might take a bit of time for him to get back. I politely told him he would have no more than 10 mins and then I would walk to the office and demand that he be kicked out without a refund. He was back in less than 5 and told me that I was a bit of a hard ass. I told him he should see me when I really get my retired NCO dander up....he would not like it at all. Same goes for the Canadians who smoke and think nothing of tossing a butt on the ground. I picked up butts a long time ago on AD as a young kid. As an old phart retired I don't pick up butts. Don't like it go back to Montreal.

Hey bigfoot, sounds like you're the guy that thinks you need to get into everyone's business. If I am walking my animal and he/she leaves a deposit that I don't currently have a bag for, don't jump on me. If you keep your fat mouth shut and watch, you will see that I will be right back to pick up the deposit. Who appointed you as the poop Nazi?

Well I guess I have to agree with RVMamas. My wife and I show three minature wirehair daschunds and we are fanatical about picking up their dropings. We at times have reached into our pockets and realized that between the two of us we had no bags and we quickly go back to the MH get some and picked up the dropings. I guess my response to someone that would jump on me like Bigfoot would be these little dogs are two years old and they have yet to soil themselves....bet you can't say that and based on your statement on getting your NCO dander up I'll bet in the past you have partied too much and left a smelly mess on public property that you haven't picked up!!! The bottom line is if your dog did it pick it up.

We have a Brussels Griffon/Maltese mix, 7 lbs. He is house trained to do all his business on papers in a foldable cloth cage. Some times we walk him and when we do I carry napkins and plastic baggies just in case. We never walk him in grassy areas because of ticks and other dogs stuff. He never barks at other people when we are walking. He loves to be petted. In the RV if left alone he will not bark unless you come up close next to the RV and hears you. However, we very seldom ever leave him in the RV. We take him into town and I stand outside the stores/shops with him while the wife shops. We carry a small container of food and water. We eat in the car alot because of the dog not being allowed in restaurants.
