In the area of Brimley, check out the remains of the 37th ADMS. Apparently you can still see the old runway and some of the outlines of the old buildings.

Just booked us for a week at Sea Mist in Virginia Beach Sept 29 - Oct 6. Neither of us have ever been to the Atlantic coast. Looking forward to a nice relaxing week of sun and surf. :woohoo:
IF there aren't any storms. Last two times we headed to the beach (Panama Beach and Boluxi) the Gulf of Mexico was closed due to storms. Bummer. We NEED some nice beach time.

The only thing wrong with being retired is that you never get a day off!

Hey Grammy! I left the Rapid City area about a month ago...looks like we keep on just missing each other!
Didn't stay at Ellsworth though. As the saying goes...there was no room at the inn and I didn't feel like staying in the overflow area.
Have a great trip!

PA, OH, IN, MO & AR in May & June then Nashville for 2 weeks til a couple of weeks back and like someone else lamented, I'm getting hitch itch. During Oct & Nov will spend a couple of weeks in Cherokee NC then move South by East stopping in Charleston, Mayport before turning West toward home. As the Gulf coast beckons, we'll meander along it for a week or so then call it quits until December when we head out for another month. :woohoo: A quick winter round trip to Elkhart IN will be it till it warms up some. DW can't stand cold.
